English Text: In the 1940s, men and women had very different roles. Men worked outside the home and earned money. Women stayed at home and took care of the children and the house. This was the normal way of life. But things have changed a lot since then. Today, both men and women can work outside the home. Women can have careers and men can help with housework and childcare. People now believe that both men and women should have the same opportunities.

To był normalny sposób życia. Ale od tego czasu wiele się zmieniło. Dziś zarówno mężczyźni, jak i kobiety mogą pracować poza domem. Kobiety mogą mieć kariery, a mężczyźni mogą pomagać w pracach domowych i opiece nad dziećmi. Ludzie teraz wierzą, że zarówno mężczyźni, jak i kobiety powinni mieć te same możliwości.

Kobiety natomiast były zazwyczaj gospodyniami domowymi, odpowiedzialnymi za wychowywanie dzieci i zarządzanie obowiązkami domowymi. Ten podział pracy był powszechnie akceptowany i wzmacniany przez społeczeństwo. Jednak od tego czasu zaszły znaczące zmiany. Ruch feministyczny, zmieniające się warunki ekonomiczne i ewoluujące normy społeczne zakwestionowały te tradycyjne role. Dziś role płciowe są bardziej płynne, a zarówno mężczyźni, jak i kobiety dzielą się obowiązkami zawodowymi i domowymi. Równość i idea wspólnych obowiązków stały się bardziej powszechne.

Kobiety były w dużej mierze ograniczone do sfery domowej, zajmując się wychowaniem dzieci, zarządzaniem domem i utrzymywaniem porządku społecznego.
