In Poland, citizens elect somebody president through a national election. The president is chosen by universal suffrage, meaning all adult citizens have the right to vote. The voting is direct and equal, and it takes place by secret ballot to ensure privacy and fairness. If no candidate wins more than 50% of the votes in the first-round, the two candidates with the highest number of votes proceed to a run-off. After the final result, the winner becomes the president-elect. Before taking office, the president-elect must take the oath of office. The president holds office a maximum of two times, with each term lasting for a five-year term.

Prezydent jest wybierany w ramach powszechnego prawa wyborczego, co oznacza, że wszyscy dorośli obywatele mają prawo głosu. Głosowanie jest bezpośrednie i równe, a odbywa się w głosowaniu tajnym, co zapewnia prywatność i uczciwość. Jeśli żaden kandydat nie zdobędzie ponad 50% głosów w pierwszej turze, dwóch kandydatów z najwyższą liczbą głosów przechodzi do drugiej tury. Po ogłoszeniu ostatecznego wyniku zwycięzca zostaje prezydentem elektem. Przed objęciem urzędu, prezydent elekt musi złożyć przysięgę.
